Not your average RTO. Buy an established online language RTO where 60% of FY2026 income came from existing students. Vendor-supplied normalised EBITDA is $263,723. Growth is in place.

The existing student base is the first growth asset: retention, progression into further courses and added conversation tutorials can lift lifetime value without replacing every sale. Fees have risen for new and continuing students, with the vendor estimating a 15% bottom-line uplift once fully reflected. Recent outreach produced meetings with 15 independent schools about 2027 VET pathways; this is opportunity, not contracted revenue. Professional English, children's programs, new languages and international marketing provide further channels.
Fully remote following the Melbourne centre closure. No training premises are required for ongoing online delivery.
Operational coverage is mapped across rostering, student administration, assessments and interviews. Permanent part-time tutors deliver training. Enquiries and added sales capacity need replacement, subject to buyer confirmation.
After more than 35 years, the owners are retiring and intend to transfer the business through a structured four-week handover plus consultation. Management has worked to ensure seamless transition. Buyer will be assisted in preserving the student experience and the income generated from existing learners during transition. Staff arrangements remain subject to buyer confirmation.
This is more than a normal RTO that relies on individual sales. The repeat business constitutes more than 60% of revenue. This is an operating language business and fee-for-service RTO, not a shell. The price equals about 2.58 times that EBITDA.
The repeat business gives a buyer an established cohort to serve, retain and progress. Learners can continue through scheduled payments, further courses, maintenance conversation sessions and weekly tutorials. Around 300 students were enrolled, with 15-20 new starters a month. That is all you need to maintain – 20 new students!
The task allocation supports continuity. Staff are identified for rostering, student management, assessments and interviews, with procedures and video training supporting key processes.
The remote model uses PowerPro for student records, SimplyBook.me for rostering and a proprietary online platform. Included IP covers training and assessment resources, online lessons, tutor and student resources, policies, procedures, videos, marketing content, templates, course outlines, website content and social assets. Permanent part-time tutors deliver training and supplied material states at least two tutors cover each language.
The offer combines Certificate II and III in Applied Language with non-accredited programs across 15 languages.
Languages include:
- Arabic
- Dutch
- English
- French
- German
- Greek
- Indonesian
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Mandarin Chinese
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
- Thai
Supplied reviews repeatedly praise tutor quality, flexibility, accountability and progression beyond app-only learning.
Recent fee increases, lower premises costs and remote operations create great near-term upside. Growth channels include retention and progression within the existing cohort, school VET pathways, professional English, children's programs, further languages, corporate and government clients and international marketing.

OUR KNOWLEDGE
Established in 1990 to bridge the gap between academic study and practical fluency, the business began with Japanese then added languages in response to demand. It now delivers accredited and non-accredited programs across 15 languages using a picture-sound method designed to help students think in their new language.
Over 35 years, delivery evolved from centres to an online model combining self-paced lessons, one-to-one tutorials and homework. Its course library, systems, trained tutors and student relationships would take years to recreate.
