We generally collect personal information directly from you, such as when you register and create an account with us, use any of our products and services (including when you communicate with us), or visit our platforms.We may also collect your personal information from another entity within the SEEK Group or via third parties such as our service providers and partners, advertisers, or from government or regulatory authorities where required by law.
We typically use your personal information to provide you with and to improve our products and services. We also use your personal information to send you information about our products and services. This includes to market and promote products and services offered by us and businesses within the SEEK Group.Without your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with all or some of our products or services.

- any entity or business within the SEEK Group;
- advertisers, if you enquire about a listing on our platform;
- service providers and partners who assist us to deliver products and services to you, or to conduct surveys, trials and customer research;
- governmental authorities or regulatory bodies if we have a legal obligation to do so; and
- in the event of any merger, acquisition or restructure, with the transferee or successor of any entity within the SEEK Group, or any prospective purchaser of any business or asset within the SEEK Group (together with its relevant advisors).
We may share your personal information outside of your home location under the following circumstances:
- where your personal information is shared with advertisers located outside of your home location (advertisers located overseas may have access to your personal information if you enquire about a listing on our marketplace);
- with a service provider, partners, or other third parties in an overseas location for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy, including in New Zealand, United States of America, Ireland and India;
- where we consider it necessary to comply with any legal or regulatory obligations.
Our Privacy Policy outlines how:
- you can access or seek correction of your personal information (section 6-7);
- how you can request for your personal information to be deleted (section 10);
- how you can complain about our use or handling of your personal information and how we will deal with such a complaint (section 12).
We take reasonable steps to ensure the security of our systems and to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss as well as unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Any personal information which we hold is stored on secure servers and protected in controlled facilities.We retain your personal information:
- for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected and retained it for (as set out in our Privacy Policy); or
- until you request us to delete it. When you request this, we will take reasonable steps to delete your personal information as required under applicable privacy laws.
