Dangermates is a proven Sydney-based hot sauce brand with a decade of trading, a loyal customer base, and strong brand identity. With existing distributor relationships and a Metcash agreement in place, the business is well-positioned for rapid expansion into major supermarkets. Supported by Seedlab, the next phase focuses on scaling production, growing national distribution, and building a leading FMCG brand in the premium condiment category.
We’re seeking a partner with strong marketing, sales, and brand-building skills, ideally with experience in social media, digital content, and consumer engagement. Someone who understands how to grow a brand through community, storytelling, and customer acquisition would be ideal. Experience in FMCG, retail, or scaling a consumer brand is highly valued, along with a proactive, commercially minded approach and the ability to help drive brand awareness and sales growth.

Dangermates is a successful boutique hot sauce brand with a strong reputation, a loyal customer base, and a proven history of strong sales across hot sauce retailers in Australia. Over the past ten years, the brand has been carefully built into a distinctive and memorable FMCG business, supported by multiple awards, consistent sell-through at markets and online, and a growing presence in the category.
As we prepare for the next stage of growth, we have recently undertaken a brand refresh to position Dangermates for broader commercialisation and distribution into major retailers. We already have an established distribution agreement with Metcash, along with a number of reliable wholesale distribution relationships, giving us a solid foundation to scale from.
We are now looking for a strategic business partner who can take an active role in driving the business forward, particularly across marketing and sales, or alternatively for an equity partner interested in acquiring a 40% stake in the business. This investment would help support the next phase of growth, including marketing execution, sales expansion, and commercial manufacturing readiness.
Dangermates is also currently working with Seedlab to refine the product offering and ensure the business is fully compliant and prepared for major retail distribution. Our brand has already attracted interest from major FMCG companies, demonstrating the strength of the concept and the commercial potential that exists once the business is fully ready for scale.
