“Tuckshop is a smallish cafe in Bondi Junction. The ambience, service and price were all fine but pretty normal for a good cafe, but what sets this place apart is the interesting menu and the quality of the food. The ham and cheese toastie was great-3 cheeses, onion, pickles, a bit of chilli, really good ham, and very well toasted sourdough (4 slices). But the bowl of fried cauliflower we shared was just fantastic-it included pickled apple and fennel slices, shaved cabbage, a delicious red sauce which was apparently based on roast capsicum and walnut, and other goodies besides. The textures and flavours of this dish guarantee we'll be back to eat it again”
“This is a little gem for all of your coffee and breakfast needs! The smashed avo was one of the best I’ve ever had - and was set apart from the others with the eggplant relish. I also have to mention how great the coffee was (and I’m picky!). Definitely stop by if you’re in the area”
History
Tuckshop Bondi Junction has operated with only 2 owners over the last 15 years. It had been a bakery and cafe and much of the bakery equipment is still in place and it could still prove to be a worthy add -on for a knowledgeable operator.
