Old Macdonald’s Farms save the lives of unwanted baby farm animals by sourcing and presenting them in show condition to a wide marketplace. We provide structured learning programs for schools etc with, nostalgia and entertainment for Shows, Fetes, Corporate functions all year round. The sheer joy to the young and old in every presentation is overwhelming and in turn provides Franchisees with a fulfilling experience

The Franchisors bring to the table extensive livestock experience, administration / sales experience, all of which are provided on a 24/7 basis.

Old Macdonald's Travelling Farms commenced operations in 1989 as Qld Mobile Farms,  Franchising in 1991 as Old Macdonald's Travelling Farms.

Statement from a Franchisee: -

Since commencing with Old Macdonald’s Travelling Farms in September 2008, we as a family have come a long way with the farm.  I love every aspect of this challenging and rewarding business, as it exposes me to so much variety whether it is day care centres, fetes, schools, corporate functions or shopping centres

I still experience great joy when the animals relate to the elderly in nursing homes,  the giggling of little children when they are hand feeding the animal, the Teachers at schools, who have as much fun as the students, whilst the students hand feed, bottle feed and groom our babies.

Whilst the income is excellent it can be seasonal, and you need to allow for that. If you are prepared to travel, (depending on your area), the financial rewards are fantastic. I earn enough money to provide an income for myself, whilst employing 2 part time staff.
Old Macdonald's is my retirement plan as I won't get a pension, so therefore my staff will do the presentations and I will do the office work.  This will benefit my mental as well as my physical wellbeing.

 

FLEXIBILITY OF HOURS

The biggest Benefit is that I can work when I want to and plan holidays when I want to.  Whilst I may work hard during the busy times, I have money to go on holidays.  Staff have some flexibility to holidays as well.  As the saying goes we make hay while the sun shines
