Potential
The water filter business as a whole has exploded in recent years. It will continue to expand with companies like Complete Home Filtration leading the way with advertising. As a sole operator i have had the joy of benefitting off their advertising (creating awareness) etc. Perth's water is hard, it is dirty and everyone needs clean toxin free water. There are avenues in the filtration industry that no body is promoting or marketing.
Skills
All up I spent about a week being tutored in how to service a reverse osmosis system. I had no previous plumbing experience. So its suitable business for both young and old. I will spend as much time as you need to get you up n running. and will be available to help out on holidays or large jobs.

Sadly im unable to give my customers the time and service they deserve. i love my customers and would love to continue with this business, but my life took a turn a few years back where i had to create a permanent income. i thought i could do both business and FIFO but recovering from nightshift takes too long and i just dont have the time. i'm in the process of a career change which will reduce my home hours availability
About the Business
Perth's water corporation tests for over 130 toxins. Most of which are present to some varying degree. i service and install filtration systems that remove a large % of these. I have over 130 customers who require 1 to 2 services a year. i am regularly installing new filter systems which generates a lifetime residual customer. in short the business is maintaining new and existing filter systems that remove the impurities found in Perths water. Most of my clients are households who are on the health conscious spectrum. the mark-up of products is generous and open to change. (i have changed my prices once in 10 years) there is lots of room to use AI to create an app specifically for this business. There are markets that are un/touched/tapped here in Perth that are ripe for exploiting. i just don't have the time or the drive.

Believe it or not I put a request into the universe... 2 weeks later my partner came home and told me a new client of hers was selling a business. I had an interview with the owner who gave me some training and his domestic clients.
I've had the business for about 9 years and initially did it full time. It has provided a sole income for the first few yearsand with effort it can provide a good wage for the next owner.
