About the Business
We are located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, on Queen Street. We are the premier virtual reality entertainment business. We started by offering escape rooms but have added Virtual reality games, racing cars, and many other VR adventure products.
Customers book online, email, or call us to book upwards of 2 to experience a VR escape room or VR arcade games for 1 hour. Most bookings between 2 and 8 are done online. Any large bookings, including birthdays and team building, are done via email and by calling us. We also offer a 2-hour birthday or team-building activity.
Retail
We service a very loyal retail customer base during the evenings, weekends and school holidays. They book online between 2 to 8 people for a session. The venue started with 8 people, and now it can host up to 24 people with careful expansion. We used to host small birthday parties during weekend. It has grown to host big birthday parties and bucks parties. Customers book their session online or walk-in then select their escape rooms or arcade games to play for 1 hour with their friends, partners or family.
Corporates
We have expanded our brand considerably to corporates. We service team-building and Christmas party events. Several large corporates, including the leading telco in the country, banks, consulting companies, and others, have visited us. We intend to expand this further next year by offering team-building events at corporate sites after doing so to some level this year, opening up a significant new market for us.
Schools
Increasingly, schools are contacting us to request very large bookings. This is exciting, but we need to expand our venue this requires capital. Here, too, we will visit schools to conduct VR event days. We also have an innovative VR education curriculum for schools that we intend to offer next year.
History
Started in November 2021. Business was started by a single operator, sold in November 2022 to the current investor. Over the last 3 years, we have grown by acquiring a bigger competitor who entered into liquidation. By acquiring that competitor now we have become the dominant player in the market. We have completed product development phase and proven the model. Now it requires someone who is good at sales & marketing to drive the business to the next phase.
