North - Launceston and South - Hobart
Two franchise territories available: one each in the north and south of Tasmania. Franchisees will work together on larger events, travelling within Tasmania, and will also have the opportunity to assist at large events on the mainland.
About the Opportunity
Imagine waking up in a tent in Australia’s great outdoors and making money helping others experience that too. Wallaroo Camping Hire wants everyone to be able to spend time in nature, and our Events arm brings that experience to festivals, schools, weddings, scout camps, community groups, and large group events of anywhere from 50 to hundreds of thousands of people across the country.
We’ve grown the Events business to a point where we’re offering people the chance to take on a franchise. As a Wallaroo Events franchisee, you’ll run an all-inclusive camping accommodation service with delivery, full setup and pack down, site management, and communal facilities for Glamping and Tent Village, all backed by a trusted brand, proven systems, and a supply of quality gear. You bring the energy and the local relationships; we’ll help you build it.

You don’t need Events experience. What matters is attitude and drive. Our ideal franchisee is:
• Hands-on: happy to be on-site, set up the gear and work weekends when events are on.
• A natural with people: warm, clear and reliable, the kind of person clients trust and want to book with again.
• A self-starter with sales instinct: chases opportunities and isn’t shy about asking for the booking.
• Resilient: keeps a level head through long days, changing weather and the odd curveball.
• Keen to learn and grow: ready to follow the Wallaroo system, take coaching, and build something bigger each year.
How we’ll support you:
Full training and onboarding, the Wallaroo brand and booking systems, established relationships, sales and marketing support, plus ongoing guidance from a team that lives and breathes the outdoors.
Marketing support
Our head office manages centralised marketing and promotion. We'll help you gain the skills to develop relationships in your territory, plus handle and close sales. Building your local presence will include social media, all based on the proven and successful Wallaroo brand and formula, with full training and support.
Training provided
You'll get full training and onboarding, including all equipment, setup, pack-down, and maintenance, at a live event. Your comprehensive operations manual includes detailed instructions and guidelines for setting up Glamping and Tent Village, storing equipment, and managing relationships with larger events, such as festivals.

Skills
You don't need specific skills or qualifications to be a Wallaroo Events Franchisee. You'll need to love spending time outdoors, be good with your hands, be happy to be away at weekends, and be good at talking to and working with a wide range of people.

Wallaroo Camping Hire is a homegrown local business established in 2014 to fill a niche in the camping market. We wanted to give people the option to hire quality camping gear so they could have a great time outdoors without a big expense or poor-quality equipment.
Over time, we’ve expanded into hiking and glamping gear, and we offer a variety of event and group services, including for festivals, schools, and weddings.
Our Events business has grown to the point where we’re offering people the chance to take on a franchise!
