With very little competition and a prominent street front location, the Thorpdale Bakery has become a stopping point for visitors to the area and a meeting place for locals.
In 2018, Thorpdale Bakery won the Great Aussie Pie Competition which was held in Melbourne as part of the Fine Food Australia expo. For more than 30 years the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition has built a history supported by pride and passion among bakers and pastry cooks in the art of pie-making while forming an industry benchmark for excellence and raising the quality standards of pies and sausage rolls throughout Australia.
In 2020, the Australia Post outlet was acquired and integrated into the bakery premises.
