Rofin Australia Pty Ltd (“Rofin”) presents a rare opportunity to acquire a long‑established, globally recognised scientific instrumentation company with nearly five decades of operational history. Established in 1978, the company designs, manufactures, and exports advanced forensic science instruments from its Melbourne headquarters.
Rofin is internationally known for its suite of forensic light sources and imaging systems used for crime scene investigation and forensic laboratory analysis. Flagship products include the Polilight PL550 XL, PL500, and the FLARE PLUS series, for which it has registered patents with IP Australia. Rofin Australia is the only manufacturer of a fully tunable forensic Light source.
More than 90% of revenue is derived from products designed and manufactured in‑house.
Optical technologies serve forensic laboratories, law enforcement, industrial markets, research institutions, and art conservation.
