Maine’s Rides (aka Ma’s Rides) is a door to door booked hire passenger transport service and courier and food delivery services operating with a Booking Entity Authority and Book Hire Service Licenses, our fleet consists of 4 x Toyota Hiace Commuter 12 seat buses and transport approximately 120,000 – 140,000 passengers per year for the mining community of Weipa. Its customer base is made up from engineering service, mining companies, government agencies, local business operators, tourism operators and local residents. We provide passenger transfer for 17 scheduled flights per week plus additional charter flights. Weipa hosts several large multi-day events a year including the Weipa Fishing Classis and The Weipa Bull ride with passenger numbers often exceeding 1,000 per day. The mining and tourism industries continue to grow in the region with peek passenger periods being between June and October. The business is easily operated from home and would suit a husband-and-wife family team. Our staff is currently made up from full time and part time drivers.
History
Maine's Rides started operating in mid-2019 with one bus as an alternative to the traditional taxi service and instantly came under huge demand growing quickly to 6 drivers and 4 vans within the first 12 months, since then it has continued to grow it's account client base and revenue. We believe our business success is due to providing a great service at a reasonable cost and our friendly local personal service to each passenger.
