Potential

Huge upside, because the brand has grown with no marketing at all. Hi-D reached 275+ stores and $177k in sales without spending anything on advertising, and online sales still grew 231%. A new owner could grow it by:

Running e-commerce and paid social ads. The Shopify store’s margins are around 76%.
Pushing into pharmacy and grocery, building on Paragon Care and Wholelife.
Running in-store promotions and demos to lift sales across the 275+ existing stores.

About the Business

Hi-D is Australia’s only certified-organic, whole-food vitamin D brand, and the consumer capsule range is for sale as a stand-alone business.

The vitamin D comes from 100% certified-organic Australian Shiitake mushrooms. A UV process co-developed with CSIRO activates the vitamin D that’s naturally in the mushroom. There’s no chemical extraction, no synthetic vitamin D and nothing added. Each bottle holds 60 vegan capsules with a single ingredient, and the clean label sets it apart from the yeast, lichen and lanolin (sheep’s wool) sources other brands use.

The range has four SKUs:

- 1000 IU, daily maintenance, RRP $39.95
- 1000 IU + Beta Glucan, RRP $44.95
- 3000 IU, moderate need, RRP $49.95
- 5000 IU, Australia’s highest-strength daily vitamin D capsule on retail shelves, RRP $59.95

Hi-D launched in August 2025 and is distributed nationally by Unique Health Products, Paragon Care and Vital.ly, and in New Zealand by Nutriscript. It’s now stocked in 275+ stores, including Go Vita, Flannerys, Market Organics and Wholelife, and it also sells direct through its Shopify store at hi-d.au.

Sales were $177.7k from August 2025 to October 2026, and about 5,850 bottles sold in the last 12 months. All of this came with no paid advertising. Gross margin averages about 45% overall and about 76% on online sales.

The business is simple to run. There are no staff, no production facility and no lease. TNB Pharmaceuticals, a TGA-licensed GMP manufacturer on the Gold Coast, does the encapsulation, bottling and labelling. Distributors handle delivery to stores, and online orders go out by Australia Post with the customer paying postage. A storage area of about 4 × 3 m is enough, so a home office, garage or storage unit works. The new owner’s main jobs are marketing the brand and dispatching orders.

The sale includes:

The Hi-D brand, logo, label artwork and marketing assets
The hi-d.au website, Shopify store and social media accounts
The distributor relationships and the manufacturing arrangement
A powder supply agreement
Stock on hand
A handover from the founders

Offers invited. Further information is available under NDA.

History

Hi-D began with a simple idea: vitamin D from nature, not a lab. The founders worked with CSIRO to develop a UV process that activates the natural vitamin D in certified-organic Australian Shiitake mushrooms, with nothing extracted or added. Launched in August 2025, Hi-D was quickly taken up by national distributors and is now stocked in 275+ stores across Australia and NZ, all without paid advertising. The founders are now handing it to a new owner for its next stage.
