An established bulk haulage and materials cartage business operating from a purpose-built depot in regional Queensland. Thirty years under the same ownership, carting quarry product, construction materials, mine product, oversize rock, containerized freight and bulk liquids, and relocating earthmoving plant on floats, for quarry operators, civil contractors, government principals and resources sector clients across a corridor of roughly twelve hours truck travel.
Fully managed. The founding directors withdrew from daily operations more than twelve months ago and the business has traded without them since. Three department managers hold operations, workshop and administration, carry combined tenure of more than twenty-five years, and continue under new ownership.
The fleet runs to 107 plant items - prime movers, tipping, live bottom and side tipping trailers, floats, tankers, earthmoving and materials handling plant - of which 91 are nominated under national heavy vehicle accreditation, audited across three modules against twenty-three standards with no corrective action requests.
Indicatively $10 million to $12 million subject to the independent valuation being obtained, against finance on thirteen units and no other debt.
It holds a Queensland Government standing offer arrangement, serviced for more than fifteen years, where evaluation preference goes to operators with a locally resident workforce. An interstate competitor cannot price its way in. Behind it sit relationships with every significant quarry operator in the region, most exceeding ten years, on repeat project engagement rather than fixed-term supply.
The depot is a 9,000 square metre purpose-built site with quad road train access and a covered workshop, available for separate purchase or long-term lease at the buyer's election.
There is demonstrated headroom. FY2023 revenue was $19.29 million, carried on substantially the fleet and depot in place today, at a margin around six percentage points above current levels.
