The Royal Qld Yacht Squadron is located on the shores of Moreton Bay, in Manly Boat Harbour - the largest single harbour in the southern hemisphere. RQ has 600 vessels in wet berths, and another 200 on hardstand.

Skills
Experience in the maintenance, repairs & shipwright skills across all types, sizes and designs of vessels is essential.

About the Business
To operate a shipwright vessel maintenance & repairs business on site at the Royal Qld Yacht Squadron, Manly Boat Harbour, Manly Qld. the business is required to provide a range of marine trade services to the broader local boating community, and particularly to the members of RQYS with their 600 boats stored in wet berths and 200 on the Hardstand.
Vessels presenting for work will span a broad range of tuypes and hujll materials and the business will be expected to work confidently across power boats, fibreglass vessels, timber vessels and sailing vessels (both dinghy and keelboat).
The Contractor shed available for rent is 130sqm, fitted out with office, upstairs storeroom and work space suitable for trailerable vessels up to 10 metres in lenth.
The Boatyard can accommodate up to 15 vessels at any one time and can be lifted out via a 35t travel lift or a 50t trailer suitable for catamarans.
RQYS owns and operates the lifting devices - the contractors are responsible for booking boatyard work bays, and providing the skilled tradespeople to work on the vessels.
History
RQYS has been operating on this site since 1960, and has achieved much growth over the years to include the Contractor Sheds x 4, one of which is become available for the first time since they were built in 2015.
RQYS has a 600 wet berth marina, a 200 bay trailer boat hardstand, 180 bay dinghy hardstand, a large clubhouse facilities, a motel and a Sailing Academy operating on site.
