Opened in March 2025 by Brent Draper, winner of MasterChef Australia 2023 - Drapes Deli has a cult-like following before the doors even opened! The deli was put on the map from day one, with lines out the door. Selling out of their iconic sangas most days for the first 6 months, Drapes Deli has customers drive and fly in from all over the country to sample their goods.
Now 18 months in, that viral 'hype' energy and attention has converted into something truly rare - a loyal, repeat customer base who keep coming back and who keep telling everyone they know about Drapes Deli!
18 months in and the 4.9 star rated sangas and cinnamon scrolls still sell out often - Yeppoon and the towns visitors just can't get enough. With a strong following of 8,400+ followers on Instagram, Drapes Deli is very visible and still has so much more room for growth!
In February 2026 Drapes Deli held their first 'drapes up late' pop up restaurant for dinner, they sold out their 2 sittings for the evening (5pm & 7pm) within 24hrs. They sold 50 tickets at $95pp and received an abundance of feedback from people who were disappointed that they had missed out on tickets, proving the need/want/opportunity for more pop up restaurants in Yeppoon.
