We operate one pump: owner / operator with no current staff, and the owner is selling after 25 years in business to retire. Access Concrete Pumping is well regarded among concreters, builders, and concrete plants on the Sunshine Coast, within the local building and construction industry and among our peers. We have focused on residential work and have a large clientele ranging from builders who might do one house at a time, to contractors who use our services weekly and daily.
Our key strength is that we have a large, diverse customer base – there are over 1500 customer cards in MYOB. Some clients are generational and continue to use our business. We have several large concreters who are subcontracted to project builders and tender for projects. We work with project builders; and independent builders who might only do one house a year. We have a solid reputation for being prompt, reliable and efficient. We operate relatively new, modern equipment which is well maintained mechanically, and presented clean and tidy.
Our truck displays a bold, eye-catching vinyl wrap. The business operates within and travels the length and breadth of the Sunshine Coast, as well as to Gympie to the north, and occasionally south as far as Brisbane. Our primary source of advertising is word-of-mouth and repeat clientele. We have a website, and a Facebook page, however for many years, we have limited the advertising we do because we are often unable to take on any more work than we are currently doing. Where we are unable to attend a job, we work with other concrete pump operators who assist us; and we also pick work up from them.
While our primary focus is concrete pumping in the residential market, with the South East Qld population explosion, and the 2032 Olympics there is an untapped opportunity for expansion and growth in the construction industry and concrete pumps are an essential component to all building sectors.
