About the Business
The Healing Space is not only unique to the Huon Valley, but is unique in it's offering within Tasmania. Bringing together 15 practitioners working from the space, it offers the community direct access to a wide varitiy of modalities from one beautful place. Over the last three years of operation, the business has become an established and trusted part of the community; and the go-to place for the community to get their alternative health needs met.
The business was established with community service & reciprocity in mind. Many of our practitioners offer a sliding payment scale, ensuring that lower income earners can access services. We set up a series of free educational ‘Community Talks’; which also gives our practitioners the opportunity to connect directly with potential local clients. We have an established medicinal herb garden, with herbs being used by our resident naturopath; and have a vegetable garden that has donated food to the local CWA Meal Program. In 2023, we also won a
grant to deliver a peer-to-peer support group for neurodivergent individuals, which was run by our holistic counsellor. We are always seeking to find ways to support the community that so generously supports us.
The location is stunning, with views out accross Port Cygnet Bay - and you'll get to enjoy the benefits of a purpose built, insulated and double glazed building, that is only 5 years old. History
The Healing Space opened in March 2023 with a vision to provide all of the talented practitioners
in the hills and valleys surrounding Cygnet with a beautiful space to work from and to serve their
local community. In doing so, we also wanted to ensure that the locals had a trusted place to
access complementary and preventative healthcare without having to travel further afield to
Kingston or Hobart.
We have grown to accomodate 15 local practitioners, offering a wide variety of modalities - with exceptional scope to expand further.
