We have a beautiful studio in Yeppoon featuring our blue colour, custom artwork and over 300 dresses! The studio is located in a converted showroom and is a lovely environment for bridal groups to enjoy a unique and dedicated bridal experience.
The business is growing and has vast potential with more dedicated time and love poured into it (a large motivator for the sale). The business currently operates mainly 1 day a week (Saturday) at present and is situated in a converted showroom and has a large dress rack area, front counter/desk, lounge, 2 x dressing rooms and another storage office with kitchenette and more desk area (ideal for storage or a dressmaker to do alterations on site). The current owner started the business as a side hustle but it has grown over the last 3 years.
The current business owner is a licensed second hand dealer and any new owner would need to become licensed also to carry on the business second hand dealer requirements for QLD – paperwork and a fee. Being a second hand dealer means you must keep a register of all buyers and sellers as per the legislation.
We operate by appointment only - mainly a Saturday as it suits most bridal groups, but opportunity for hours growth.
Year by Year lease - Renews end of June each year

The business was originally started as a side hustle, and has grown and now requires more attention. The current owner has a young family, work, the business, sport and many events and commitments so it feels like the right time to let Bluebird Bridal fly into the arms of someone who can take the vision, keep growing it and give it the love and attention it deserves. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Bluebird Bridal, a well-established and loved bridal boutique in Yeppoon.
The business operates in the wedding industry and has a unique selling proposition; a preloved bridal gown studio. The business is predominantly a consignment bridal studio, but has recently purchased a number of gowns/stock now held by the current owner which has greater profit potential and a wider variety for customers. It generates regular clientele (Brides) from as far north as Mackay, to Emerald, to Bundaberg and surrounding Central Queensland Area. The business has been in operation for almost 3 years (opened July 2023) with a growing customer and consignor base.
The business was born out of the vast gap in bridal dress options in the Central Queensland region. We wanted to offer brides the chance to find beautiful, high-quality, off-the-rack gowns they could take home the same day, while also giving these treasured dresses a more sustainable second life.
Over the past two and a half years, this little bridal studio idea has grown into something bigger and more wonderful than the current owner ever imagined from the original side hustle idea. It has been an absolute joy working with bridal groups and also dress consignors and seeing the gowns find their next love stories. So far we have helped almost 200 brides find their perfect dress, and facilitated appointments with hundreds of groups.
Bluebird Bridal operates mostly under a consignment model, this means that those gowns are ‘goods in care’ and a consignment agreement exists, put simply they are still owned by the original dress owners and the studio/business sells on behalf of them for a commission and small sellers fee. The current owner did however recently purchase a number of gowns held to by the studio as ‘stock’, with the intention of greater variety of gowns and also greater profit potential. The consigned and stock dresses are sourced from all over Australia.
We have attended numerous wedding expos, and also been involved in a number of wedding vendor photoshoots which has helped us to create a recognised brand and business in the area.
There is plenty of room for growth through more availability for appointments, extended hours, and expansion of the range.
The business was started to fill a vast gap in Bridal gowns in the CQ region and also to offer a sustainable option for preloved gowns that are often worn once and packed away in a cupboard. A bridal gown is often also the most expensive piece of clothing a lady ever buys, so we wanted to provide a beautiful studio environment for bridal groups to come in and get the full bridal dress experience but walk away with a gorgeous gown for a nice discounted price.
