About the Business
We are a small boutique run by two owners - could easily be run under management if desired.
We run very private appointments for which we charge a booking fee.
We have 5-6 exclusive designers - no other store within a 50km radius can have the same designers as we do.
We have been in operation for 10 years and are fully booked most Saturdays - the busiest day of the week which definitely require two people in the store and weekdays are either half or fully booked - this could definitely change if you could dedicate more time.
We are know for having something different- not just your traditional gowns but some very modern in trend pieces as well
We have excellent relationships with our designers- some who have been with us for the whole 10 years
We are able to supply custom gowns - in partnership with two of our designers- so that brides can truly have their vision bought to life.
We are also able to have a private line - gowns that we design that no one else has access to
The turnover is excellent and the profit margins are very good - it easy however easy to over spend so you need to be very controlled when buying new gowns (something we learnt the hard way)
If you love weddings or fashion and truly can listen to people you will do very well
History
We started as a mother daughter team 10 years ago and was the first to offer wedding gowns over a size 14 in Victoria. We started the business as when the daughter went shopping for her wedding gown she found the boutiques did not cater for everyone, and it was quite uncomfortable and stuffy and we knew we could provide better service than that.
We became successful as we catered for all styles and body typesWe listened so that we could find the perfect dress for our brides rather than thinking we knew everything.
