As a proud Australian brand with 140+ locations and 11,000 serviced apartments across the country, Quest is doing all it can to help our nation get through these current trying times.
We understand over this time of uncertainty your priorities and focus may shift, but we want to assure you that we are still here and still looking to educate you on our brand and business model when you are ready to do so.
The way we would usually conduct our selection process may change during this period of uncertainty but our team are here, with the necessary online tools and open for any discussion.
As Australasia’s largest apartment hotel operator, we have created a brand business travellers have come to rely on for more than 30 years.
Today, the Quest logo takes pride-of-place atop more than 170 properties across Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Fiji. Key to our success are the people who run our businesses - our franchisees who live in the towns and cities where our accommodation is based; who get to know their customers, build relationships with them and make their lives away from home as easy as possible.
We are rapidly expanding this network, opening on average 7 new businesses every year for more than a decade. This growth creates opportunities for our existing Franchisees to expand their own businesses, with many owning multiple Franchises.
We’ve created a business model that takes away some of the major challenges to achieving success in small business, with the support of one of Australia’s most recognisable brands.
You don’t need a background in hospitality to become a Quest franchisee, but you do need a proven track record in running a business or leading a team within a corporate environment. And you do need to be prepared to immerse yourself in the day-to-day running of your business.
It takes a special kind of person to become a Quest franchisee, and as such the selection process is rigorous. However, the opportunities that come from joining one of Australia’s most recognisable and fastest growing brands, make it more than worthwhile.
ABOUT QUEST AND APARTMENT HOTELS
Proudly founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1988, Quest has become a market leader in the Australasian apartment hotel sector over the last 30 years. A partnership with Singapore-based The Ascott Limited (Ascott) means that Quest is now also part of one of the world’s leading serviced residence networks. Each Quest location is hand-picked through a well-defined site selection process, which can involve years of research, considering both the economic situation of the target location, as well as extensive discussions with our corporate customers forecasting where they will need to be. It is no wonder Quest is used by over 80% of Australia's top 500 companies and has CBD, suburban and regional presence across every State and Territory
In 2019, Quest Apartment Hotels was honoured to be the first Australian franchise system to receive a 5-star rating on the Australian Franchise Rating Scale™. This rating, independently awarded by FRANdata Australia, highlighted the systems and disciplines in place that allow Quest to measure, monitor and support a high level of performance at an individual unit level, and is an excellent endorsement of the strength of Quest’s business format franchise system
EVERYONE'S A WINNER
The key to Quest’s success lies in a business model, which ensures the extended stay corporate traveller is at the centre of everything we do.
However, for this to succeed, Quest Franchisees must consider two significant stakeholders; the franchisor and our landlords. Both are crucial in ensuring business success.
From the day you join Quest, the Franchisee/Franchisor partnership ensures all Franchisees are supported by Quest business functions including sales, operations and business planning to provide you every chance of success
Franchisees can delight in acquiring a leasehold business which provides the right to generate income from the property secured through long-term tenure with a landlord and therefore, Franchisees hold tenure over a multi-million dollar property without the pressure of raising the capital required to purchase the building.
THE STRENGTH OF OUR SIZE
As Australasia’s largest network of serviced apartment businesses, Quest is considered a reliable choice for corporate Australia in meeting their accommodation needs nationally.
Currently, Quest is used by 80% of Australia’s Top 500 companies and has a CBD, suburban and regional presence across every state and territory in Australia.
Commitment and Rewards
To become a Quest Franchisee you must be prepared to make a significant investment and commitment to the business, both personally and financially.
And whilst a typical Quest Franchisee achieves an operating return of between 8% - 20%** per cent of turnover, the rewards in terms of professional satisfaction and lifestyle are also significant.
However, overall success depends on many factors, including your ability and commitment to the business.
** For the year ended June 30, 2018, based on returns provided by 63% of mature businesses. This is an illustrative figure and not a prediction of future performance of any franchisee’s particular business.
