Established in 2020, Jim's Jumping Castles and Party Hire is the "fun" division of the Jim's Group. Our motto is "we bring the fun to you!"

We are the first division within the Jim’s group to be a part time business. You can continue to work Monday to Friday for someone else and then work for yourself on weekends. Training

After your initial interview you will be invited to have one of our franchisees call you to discuss the logistics of owning a Jim’s Jumping Castles and Party Hire franchise and the journey of building your own business. You may also be offered to go out with a franchisee to see Jim’s Jumping Castles and Party Hire in action!

All new franchisees are provided with a 3-day intensive training course at the Jim’s Group Head Office in Melbourne. This covers all main business, sales, administration, and legal aspects of your franchise business.

After you complete your 3-day training, signed your contracts and exchanged funds – this is when the fun begins! You will take stock of your equipment and begin additional training to learn the basics of how to inflate and deflate the castles as well as learning the art of fairy floss making, how to make the best slushies and the freshest and best tasting popcorn.

Skills

What we require is for you to be hard-working, self-motivated and someone willing to follow the Jim’s System, with a certain level of business acumen and high regard for safety and risk analysis. We will teach you everything else you need to know. Given how physically demanding the job is, a certain level of fitness and stamina is also required.

History

It might surprise you to learn that the bearded ‘Jim’ wearing a bucket hat (an Australian franchising icon), Jim Penman, not only really exists but is still the CEO! In fact, all new Jim's franchisee’s meet Jim. Jim is passionate about franchisee’s and their success. In fact, he still gives out his mobile number, you can’t get more hands-on than that!

Your discovery journey starts with a call from our team to see if Jim's Jumping Castles and Party Hire is right for you. We will then send you our information pack to review in your own time. Once you are happy to progress to the next stage, we can organise a few more discussions to answer all your questions, learn more about logistics and building your own business. We are also happy to organise a meeting with your financial advisor/accountant to discuss the financials.

The first part of your induction program involves travelling to the Jim’s Group Head Office in the outer suburbs of Melbourne. While at the training centre, you will have a chance to meet other new franchisee divisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to share stories and to realise the power of the group you are joining. This program is designed to give you all the information and skills you need to become a true business owner. This includes advice about bookkeeping and finance. You will see the Jim’s system be shown how to use the computer system to control your workflow.

On your return, your franchisor will also offer specific training on taking calls, making bookings and up-selling as well as using all your equipment. We will also give you the practical skills to build up your referral network and generate your own work through proven practices.

After signing up, you can be running your own business within a mere 21 days!
