The company has a full suite of products that have stood the test of time for over 25 years. They have the inhouse capability to design new bespoke solutions for clients, typically adapting existing products. The business has its own ERP system and production management systems, supported by sales personal who respond to Council Tenders and customer demands.

The main business activity is the design and production of purpose-built multifunctional aluminium light poles.
For over 25 years the company has mastered the development of a kitset type design methodology, which allows flexibility in the product range.
The company is recognised globally as aluminium light pole experts. They typically sell directly to the end user customer, have sold products internationally.
This has created a significant opportunity for buyers [City Councils and Developers] to obtain a unique look and feel for their precinct, including embellishing the light pole with other functionality to improve amenity. [Banners, Cameras etc.]
The smartpole sale process involves responding to design criteria, typically contained within a tender. Often the tender specifications are written around the company's specifications. It is not uncommon for the Company to submit non-conforming tenders, where they have amended a design and submitted it for approval.
The day-to-day business of the company managing construction projects. Individual projects are typically part of a significant infrastructure project e.g., new airport, motorway, subdivision etc., therefore annually there are hundreds of tenders, in various states of “flux”, awaiting final acceptance, approval or project commencement. Many projects are in the “gestation period” for years and it is not uncommon for a project to be years later than planned.
The business has been trading since the late 1970s. Initially the company was involved in the creation of tubular tapered alumium spars for sail boats. They adapted their machinery to diversify into sports goal posts and flagpoles. At the time of the 2000 Olympics the Company developed a special smart lightpole for the City of Sydney Council. The company won a tender and supplied thousands of smart poles into the CBD of Sydney.
