Reason for Sale
After many years running businesses on Magnetic Island we would like to have a travel break, and see some of Australia before we get too old. It has been a blast to build this venture and watch it mature. The excitement of welcoming people arriving on the island and help them have an amazing adventure gives you a buzz. We will miss the energy of the offer but it is time to leave and have some personal adventures for a while.
About the Business
MI Rentals and Jeeps on Maggie grew out of its original location at our Service Station/waterports store nearby. Success in the car hire business meant relocating to a dedicated car hire location so the customers had our uninterupted attention. Adding some shop items and including hire equipment further expanded sales and our presence.
Utilising HQ Rentals online booking platform gives us the power to analyse the usage and profitablity of each vehicle as well as allow customers to book seamlessly without interaction unless needed.
This business is profitable and comes with years of Tax records and booking records, proving its outstanding growth.
20 vehicles are included. We currenly keep a balance between leases and owned vehicles. Leases will be paid out before final sale.
All vehicles are fitted with Fleetcomplete Trackers to monitor driver and vehicle for peace of mind. These trackers give additional behavior reporting and mechanical information when provided by ECU.

History
We have transformed into a vibrant and extremely visual and fun car hire Company. The original vision was to meet people at the beginning of their visit and help help them to maximise their fun during their stay. A shared passion for fun cars and fun experiences led to the development of a fleet of brightly coloured unique topless cars. Feedback from families and the elderly led to the fleet of MG3 compact cars perfect for the island at a budget price, and roomy Tucsons were added for family fun giving something for everyone.
