Located in a large strip centre with 18 tenants. There is 140 car parks with two street access. Has a mixed age group of customers. Eastern Suburbs Brisbane
We shifted the shop to a smaller location due to the landlord wanting our space for a new Woolworths Metro. We had a terrible IGA in the centre which closed last June so we have been through a lot of pain. The centre has been completely refurbished and this was finished in March 2023. This business has been operating fo 30 years.
The current owners came in with no retail experience but strong other business background and have put good systems in place . If you have social media skills would be an asset in this digital world . The business has POS Browser computer system networked with a server plus 3 more computers.

the current owners (second owners) have been here for 21 years but now it is time to think of retirement. This business needs new vision and energy to continue to grow and go forward. With the Olympics coming Brisbane should be buzzing with energy.
The main consistent income is from the Lotto franchise with The Lott who know they have to keep the good agents operating . Probably the biggest franchise in Australia. This store has very strong Tobacco sales. Tobacco is not bought online so it brings customers in. The shop is very well stocked so this brings consumers in as they know there is a large gift and card range to choose from. Stationery and printer cartridges is the one area that if you bring drive to this business, you can grow. We top up Go Cards too. We have a large range of magazines which is handled easily plus our newspaper sales have increased. Bring a friendly welcoming attitude and the customers keep coming. Newsagencies have a strong base with lotto sales and are one of the most recognisable businesses in Australia. Reliable!!
Our last 12 months financials are terrible after the shift and the centre being refubished but now is
back to business. Please just come for a meeting to see the growth.
Opened in 1992 and we took it over in October 2002. Lotto has been a consistent franchise to have. We don't have a newspaper run , returned in February 2021. The shop has a good reputation with the local community. There is a good mix of customers with a child care business in the centre bringing young families in. The large car park makes it easier for parking which is a must for this retail enviroment.
