Work from home (no lease or employee overheads), and go as far as you want. I have been working part time and typically only take on jobs within a small radius.

I work on my own and most of my work is 'word of mouth', through a real estate agency and private clients, but as I only want to work part time I commonly have more work than I want to do. With plenty of work on offer, and lots of opportunity to find more, the buyer can easily work full time, or expand the business further to include employees and contractors.

This is a great opportunity for a person with the right skills, looking for a small scale business where no one day is the same. You’ll get to set your own hours and how far you want to travel, undertaking small handyman jobs from a range of private clients and rental property agents in the Heidelberg / Ivanhoe and surrounding suburbs.
I love this work as I usually get to meet a variety of people and it offers a variety of challenges. i only take on the small jobs, so the challenge is typically in solving a problem, and / or getting something fixed without too much cost and disruption to the client. Examples of small jobs includes: leaking taps, adjusting or installing blinds, fixing dropped doors, silcone showers and/or kitchens, minor plastering and painting, instaling door locks, fixing jambed windows, build / install gates & fences, pressure washing & cleaning, etc.
Included in the sale is my list of clients, a hand over period, and some one-on-one coaching. A large range of tools and equipment, plus a motor vehicle, is available by negotiation.
This would ideally suit someone who wants to work part time on their terms (such as I’ve been doing), but there is more work out there if you want to make this a full time gig. I just know that the way I’ve been running this business has been enough for me, whilst also providing a strong margin.
History
I set up this business from scratch at the beginning of 2019. It took some time to build up the contacts, but I am reliable and trustworthy and that means I receive regular repeat business and referrals. As such I need to ensure this business is handed over to the right person.
