The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron invites submissions from experienced food & beverage operators interested in providing catering and hospitality services at our prestigious facility in Manly, Qld.

Located at the southern end of Manly Boat Harbour - surrounded by beautiful waterways, access to Moreton Bay, and a fast growing local residential population. RQYS is the 2nd largest marina in Australia.
The facility has a main dining room, 60 seat capacity, Member's bar & lounge area, Al fresco Bistro & Outdoor dining terrace with harbour views (140 guest capacity), four (4) versatile function spaces capable of hosting events from 20 to 300 guests, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen + separate function "plate up" kitchen.
Operators with a diverse range of skills and experience will be required to flex with the varying demands of this operation which encompasses a busy bar, bistro, cafe, function rooms, sporting events, private member events & corporate conference & Meetings.

7 days a week - 7am - 11pm (subject to needs of the business)
Facility closes on Good Friday & Xmas Day
Subject to negotiation - but would be looking at a minimum 3 year Agreement to start with.

This is a Hospitality & Catering Contract opportunity, with a base annual fee + utilities. The base fee will be negotiated to suit the right operator.
RQYS is seeking an experienced and innovative food and beverage provider capable of delivering high-quality dining experiences that complement our world-class facilities and meet the varied needs of our membership and visitors.
2.1 Venue Information
The successful operator will have access to:
•Main dining restaurant (air-conditioned, 60-seat capacity)
•Member's bar and lounge area
•Four (4) versatile Function spaces capable of hosting events from 20 up to 300 guests
•Al fresco Bistro & Outdoor dining terrace with harbour views (140 guest capacity)
•Fully equipped commercial kitchen + Function “plate-up” kitchen
•On site 39 room Motel – for promotion of dining services to guests
2.2 Service Requirements
The successful operator will be responsible for:
•Daily dining services for members and guests (currently includes breakfast, lunch & dinner)
•Daily Bar operations (only closed Good Friday & Xmas Day)
•Catering for club functions and events
•Catering for private functions (weddings, corporate events, etc.)
•Specialized catering for sailing regattas and competitions
•Casual dining/kiosk services for marina users
3. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Ideal applicants will demonstrate:
•Minimum 5 years experience in food and beverage management
•Proven track record operating in club, hotel/resort, or similar hospitality environments
•Experience catering for diverse customer bases and varied service styles
•Strong financial management capabilities
•Commitment to quality and customer service excellence
•Experience managing staff in accordance with relevant employment awards
•Current food safety certifications and responsible service of alcohol compliance
4. BUSINESS MODEL
Applicants are invited to propose a business model that may include:
License fee arrangement
Revenue sharing model
•Alternative innovative proposals that benefit both parties
The successful operator will be responsible for:
•All staffing costs (including recruitment, superannuation, etc)
•Food and beverage procurement
•Menu development
•Operational equipment (kitchens already fully equipped)
•Regulatory compliance
•Marketing and promotion of food and beverage offerings
RQYS will provide:
•Premises and fixed equipment
•Utilities (details to be negotiated)
•Access to member database for marketing purposes (subject to privacy regulations)
•Inclusion in RQYS promotional materials and website
