This business has operated sucessfully by the one owner since 1984 ( 40yrs) Due to my age I chose not to continue operation of our Cairns / Port Douglas transport service following the industry shut down during Covid, and just did the contracted services we were comitted to.
Our website with an automated booking system, included all resorts and tourist locations in Port Douglas, Cairns and Cairns Northern Beaches comes with the sale and can be reactivated to take online bookings.
About the Business
Currently we operate a contract service transfering passengers from Port Douglas tourist accomodation to the Crystalbrook Marina to join outer reef and Islands cruises.
We also do some bus charter work tranfering guests for wedding receptions and corporate charters and events. I myself drive around 20 hours a week and an additional driver around 15 hrs a week. As I'm approaching my mid seventies I have not taken on any other opportunities to expand services. I have 4 x 20 passenger seat Toyota Coaster buses, diesel engines and air conditioned. All are in top working order with new road worthy certificates and long registration. All buses have total service records as the same business has been servicing our vehicles over 30 years.
History
Established in 1984 as a tour service to Cooktown and the Daintree Rainforest based in Port Douglas, drawing passengers from Cairns and Port Douglas. Tranfering guests during the mid nineties to join our tours departing on from Port Douglas exposed the need for a transport service Cairns which we went on to develop and operate sucessfully over the next 30 years. We also had some contract and bus charter for corporate event and wedding groups which we currently operate.
