Skills
Confident animal handling, understanding dog body language, patience and compasssion, proficiency with dog grooming tools, breed specific styling and grooming knowledge, health and safety awareness, customer service and communication, time-management, physical fitness, ability to drive a trailer (can be taught!). Some tafes also offer a Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) which would be advantageous.

The trailer was purchased from a previous owner who lived 4 hours south of perth. It was brought to Perth and a new website, business cards, etc was created to target the Perth region.
It's been operating in Perth now for about 6 months. The owner slowly roled out the service as she learnt grooming practices. With a well created website and google my business page, there are more quote requests than can be managed. The website and marketing, combined with referrals and positive reviews led to very high demand.
