The company is headquartered in Manchester U.K, with operations in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
Travel Counsellors Australia Pty Ltd was established in 2007. Today, nearly 150 travel consultants operate their own mobile travel businesses under the Travel Counsellors brand across Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. Travel Counsellors Australia Pty Ltd is based in Melbourne and is proudly a full member of IATA and AFTA and is accredited with ATAS and CLIA.
Technology and the growth of online travel agents has made the travel industry very impersonal, making it difficult for customers to find a travel consultant who genuinely cares. Travel Counsellors recognised this and has built a travel company that is based on relationships, repeat bookings, trust and referrals. A company where customer service is at the forefront. The statutory turnover and profit of Travel Counsellors has grown by an average of 17% and over 20% per annum respectively in the period since its first management buyout in 2014. Travel Counsellors was bought by U.K private equity firm Vitruvian Partners in June 2018, signalling an exciting future ahead.
