About The HR Dept
The HR Dept was started in 2002 by Founder and Chair, Sue Tumelty in order to provide local and personal, practical and pragmatic HR and employment law advice to small and medium sized businesses.
Having come from a corporate background, Sue found that the hardest part of setting up the business wasn’t the HR side of things, but the business aspects and the marketing. So when the original business began to thrive she began to think about how she could help other HR professionals set up quickly and easily under The HR Dept Brand. HR Dept now has 60 franchisees supported by an expert head office team who develop our brand and offering for franchisees.
Every year we conduct a customer satisfaction survey that we send out to all of our franchisees’ customers. Our results are always fantastic, this year 94% of our customers would recommend us and they scored our performance 9.3 out of 10. We also scored an exceptionally high net promoter score of 85.6.
The HR Dept is now the UK’s largest network of HR professionals providing outsourced HR Support to SME local businesses. The offering to SMEs is unique and vast and nothing like this exists in the Australian market.
With our partner we expect to expand the network of HR Dept local offices across Australia and provide local and personal, high quality, cost effective services to the SME market place.
