Skinnys Grill is an innovative casual dining concept, breaking down the barriers between health food and fast food.

Skinnys Grill serves a range of healthy burgers, pizza, pasta, grill and desserts with a "low on carbs, fat on flavour" mantra.

Our story begins in 2015 with one simple question - why can't we have our cake and eat it too? Skinnys founder, James McGovern, was living a healthy lifestyle and that meant a controlled diet. No burgers, no pasta, no cake, no beers!

He knew he could find a better way. So he put together a crew of chefs and nutritionists to make fast food, healthy food! Aussies love good food, good music and to let their hair down, so with a casual sports bar vibe the first Skinnys Grill opened its doors in Penrith, Sydney - and we haven't looked back. Skinnys now has four restaurants across Sydney and is one of the fastest growing food franchises in Australia with plenty more locations already locked in.

Food is the passion and pride of Skinnys and it’s at the heart of everything we do. Our menu is made of up of recipes not normally considered "healthy", but that's what makes Skinnys so unique. And the best thing is that all of our recipes are owned by us, meaning our competitor's will just have to come to one of our restaurants if they want to have a clean cheap meal!

Step 1: Enquiry
Make your enquiry. Get in touch and let us know that you're interested in learning more about the Skinnys concept.

Step 2: Briefing
We will contact you to set up a quick telephone interview and arrange an informal meeting so we can fill you in about the brand and find out a little bit about your business intentions and experience. At this point if you want to learn more we ask you to sign a Confidentiality Document that protects us and protects you.

Step 3: Formal Application & Interview
At this point you will meet with our Franchise Support Team and Finance Team so we can determine your suitability for Skinnys. Skinnys is not for everybody and it is not a cash grab. Part of our vision is to create a chain of successful, profitable and consistent restaurants. This means we want to assess you and make sure you are the right fit for our business. At this stage of the process we will give you a preliminary approval if you tick all the right boxes.

Step 4: Deposit
We will then ask you to pay a deposit to show us that you're serious about making a financial commitment to the brand. We then provide you with our disclosure document, specific information about our brand and our processes to make sure that you have all of the information available to make your decision.

Step 5: Business Plan
This is your last chance to show us how passionate you are about wanting to join our team. You will create and present a business plan to our executive team, which will include details on your

  • Sale strategies
  • Marketing ideas
  • Management strategies.
  • People plan

We work with you on your plan and we ask you to talk to us about your education and work experience, so we can get an idea of what we need to do to make sure that we give you all the tools you need to be a successful franchisee.

Step 6: Formal Approval
If you are approved, we will provide you with a Franchise Agreement and Disclosure Document so you can go through your own due diligence process and make sure that you wish to proceed. If you are not approved, we will return your deposit and let you get back to finding a business that suits you.

Step 7: Franchise Agreement
Now we get serious! At this point, you sign your Franchise Agreement and we work hard to get you into your store as soon as possible.

This process can take 2-4 weeks.
