• TRAINING

Your onboarding experience includes theory and practical workshops based on-site in the Provender Head Office and warehouse as well as time spent in the field with experienced vending operators and/or management staff.

Your training covers all aspects of Provender and your new business and includes:

THE ROAD TO YOUR VERY OWN PROVENDER FRANCHISE

1. Complete the online enquiry form

Read through this brochure and our website www.provendervending.com.au. If a Provender franchise is still feeling like it’s the right fit for you, complete an online enquiry and sign the e-confidentiality form.

2. Complete the information request form/ application form

Once we’ve received your online enquiry, we will email you a form requesting more detailed information about your background and experience, so we can get to know you a bit better.

3. First interview

Our Franchise Business Development Manager will meet with you to provide an overview of our franchise system, answer any of your questions and discuss available opportunities. Following this meeting, we ask you to complete an Australian Federal Police Check and a basic English Literacy Test.

4. Vending Run selection

In this phase, you will work with our Franchise Business Development Manager to determine which available run you would like to franchise. Relevant information, including financials, will be provided to assist your selection. You can commence your goodwill fee with the existing Franchisee, although this will not be finalised until you have received approval from Provender.
5. Ongoing discussions and emails

Together with our Franchise Recruitment Manager, we will work with you for as long as it takes for your questions to be answered and for you to have total confidence in Provender and your new franchise. These meetings can be in person, online or over the phone.

6. Create a business plan

Next, you will provide our Franchise Business Development Manager with a budget, cash flow, and roster for your proposed vending run. Your Franchise Business Development Manager provides you with feedback and discussion.

7. Approval

A letter of Offer is signed and on acceptance, a deposit must be paid.

8. Franchise agreement

As you undertake Franchisee Training, your franchise agreement, a legally binding document, is prepared. You should review and obtain independent legal advice before signing this.

9. Commence your training

Following approval, you pay the application fee and commence training. Provender Franchisee Training is 3-5 days at Provender head office, a program to provide essential business and operational skills required to be a successful Franchisee. It is a blend of classroom training, e-learning modules and practical sessions.

You then undertake extensive field training with one of the Provender team, covering typical Franchisee functions at the vending machine locations.

10. Welcome to your first day as a franchisee

Although you will now be equipped with everything you need to run your new Provender franchise, help is never far from hand and you can expect ongoing training, support and assistance.

All of our new franchisees are teamed with an established and experienced franchisee in our structured “Buddy system” to ensure that your business gets the best possible start and that you have the confidence and clarity required for the success of your Provender franchise.

1. What was your previous situation/circumstance before becoming a Provender Franchise owner?

Kevin: I’ve always been self employed mostly in the food industry. I was involved with Subway Sandwiches and its early development for many years, then established multiple industrial cafes.

Adrian: I had just completed all my heavy machinery licences and wanted to work in mining but a car crash injury prevented me from being able to continue.

Adrian: As a result of downturn in profits from Covid, I’ve had lots of help from head office in managing extra sites to help get through the pandemic.

4. What would you tell someone who was considering purchasing a Provender Vending franchise?

Kevin: Obviously to do your research, but to be confident that if you do choose to join the Provender Franchise the back office are all very professional and top of their game in their respective fields.

Adrian: I would recommend Provender Franchise because their backing allows getting national contracts like hospitals that you would not be able to get as an individual. Also, this allows bigger discounts from suppliers.
