Tracy Transton - Owner, Port Stephens & Newcastle
"I was once asked ‘Would you rather work in a bank or would you rather work at Curves?’ I had spent most of my working life working in admin but did regular exercise from “aerobics” to jogging and swimming. But when I turned 40, divorced and single again I found nothing gave me results like the Curves workout. I got back into a bikini! I’m 52 now and have two Curves franchises! My new Curves Club is a work in progress but I can see the potential. The first Curves I bought was rundown and about to close. Five years on it is buzzing! I’m hoping to do the same with my new Curves!
Curves gave me purpose and enthusiasm for life again."

"Having always worked above and beyond the call of duty for other people I am glad I am doing it for myself instead. I have always been interested in health. I enjoy the holistic health aspect of Curves as it allows me to do research and help other people with it.
I like having the opportunity to teach, motivate and nurture because that is what I used to do before Curves, and that is what I have always loved.
I feel safe that I have a job without fear of being laid off.
I love being able to be myself - To do things silly things and surprise and entertain without having to answer to a boss. I also love encouraging my staff to be themselves."
Michelle Green – Owner, Curves Petersham
"My work day is flexible and allows me the balance I need to remain stress-free and healthy.
The ability to work locally within my community is a real bonus.
I am proud to provide a place which truly ‘strengthens women’ in all ways - through assisting to improve their health and fitness, providing encouragement, support and education, and through charitable and local business partnerships - where women feel a real sense of belonging. The opportunity to affect womens’ lives in a positive way through what I do is a privilege I appreciate every day."
