We are passionate about our product, our brand and the lasting impression we leave with our customers. At Burger Urge we are not all about following a “would you like fries with that” template, we are proud of our unconventional, out-of-the-box approach to marketing. We are focused on implementing our Taste Addiction marketing campaigns which focus on the addictive nature of our burgers, reveal our humorous side, showcase our food and yes, sometimes shock people.
Our recent VOTE 1 Campaigns is an example of this. During the 2012 Queensland state election Burger Urge held its own burger election which was hosted on our facebook site. The burger election asked fans to vote for their favourite burger with one lucky fan winning Burger Urge for a year. The election was supported with in-store posters and voting cards, links to the competition via our website and rebranding our facebook page. The pinnacle element of this campaign was the “Vote 1 Burger Urge” posters which were posted alongside the state election posters in Fortitude Valley. These Burger Urge campaign posters captured the attention of the local community and media resulting in an increase in customer numbers and editorial features, including the front page of City News magazine.
This was followed up by the more recent DICTATOR campaign and The BURGER URGE POLITICAL PARTY, both focused around the 2013 federal election. Burger Urge started our own political party where our star candidate Warwick Caper (former Sydney Swans AFL Star), was running against Wayne Swan (former Australian Treasuer) in the QLD seat of Lily. It was billed as A Swan Vs a Swan. This gained Burger Urge national coverage, with Warwick undertaking various national TV and Radio interviews including a spot on the Chanel 9’s the Today Show, prime time morning television! Unfortunatley Warwick didn’t do to well in the election…but that was to be expected.
