BOQ has been a provider of banking and other financial services since 1874. The Bank appointed its first “Private Agent” as an owner and operator of a Bank branch over 25 years ago. As at 22nd August 2017 the Bank has 108 Franchise branches and 73 corporate branches, as well as 9 Service and Transaction centres throughout Australia. The Bank also has a number of Business Banking, Equipment Finance and Specialist finance centres throughout Australia.

We've outlined below some of the things we're looking for in our BOQ franchisees.
- Recent experience in running a retail bank branch or team and/or a Business Banking portfolio of clients in the Australian Banking system with a proven sales track record in:
- Retail Home Loan Lending
- Business Loan Lending
- Equipment Finance Lending
- Collateral product sales (e.g. accounts, insurances, credit cards etc.) - Proven business acumen / experience in running a business area/team of people
- Business development and networking
- People leadership, training and sales coaching
- A desire to run your own full service banking branch and to be an active part of your local community
