Reason for Sale
I am moving over East for personal reasons. I have had the option of continuing this business and growing it or moving out of state for a different pursuit. I have chosen to move at the end of the year, so I need this to be gone for a quick sale, hence the price. The hard work has been done, all it requires is someone committed to taking it to the next level.
About the Business
The business has been set up as a surf shop for the last 20 years. It is one of only a handful of Longboard surf shops in WA with a loyal customer base and following. Over 6000 followers across our social media with an email list of a few hundred.
This surf shop business is a mix of surf hardware and clothing. The shop is known for its boards and surf essential products and services. This includes surfboard repairs (outsourced) and surfing hardware such as wetsuits, fins, board bags, etc. The shop thrives when there is a large selection of great boards and ample hardware (biggest sellers). The shop currently has some great accounts that are hard to get. If you like surfing and the alternative board scene this is the shop.
An online presence has been set up from scratch and is currently selling. That includes a link between point of sale and online stock. When this was bought by myself and my business partner the shop needed a lot of work physically. It went through a complete renovation, everything was replaced. The floor was removed, new electoral and lighting added, aircon installed, security cameras and new fit-out added. The shop really does look great. It has been split into two sections with an office out the back.
If you do not like surfing or know anything about it, the store can be used for a variety of different purposes. It can be office space, showroom, gallery, whatever. The work needed to make it modern and clean has been done. All together the renovations cost almost $60k.
If you are willing to put in the effort and the hardork to get this going it can be a great side business or lifestyle business earning you a good yearly income.
Next door a Deus Ex Machina flagship and a very popular bakery are opening up for summer, making this a perfect shop location wise for high foot traffic.
Stock is included in the sale. A bargain for someone who can see it is.
Been a surf shop for 20 years. Has a great history of being a surf shop supplying longboards, and hardware. ll it needs is a dedicated owner to take it to the next stage of its life or to turn the shop into something else unique.
