We commenced offering Franchises in WA in 2003, expanded into VIC in 2010, and other states in 2011. Our Franchisor office is in O'Connor (Perth, WA). We have:

• Demonstrated proven results, e.g. viable businesses and path for tax agent achievement.

UNIQUE SUPPORT AND TRAINING LEVELS:

Our Franchise unlike many others is operated by a Franchising Division that exclusively develops and expands the franchising system, including:

• Devising support tools for the work place.
• Providing business programmes for growth.
• The delivery of training.
• Structuring advertising.
• Analysis of results and performance.
• Providing tailored learning plans.
• Administering assistance to target tax agent status.
• Reviewing best practices and implementing change.
• Provision of technical support.

RAISING THE BAR:

Success Tax Professionals Franchises are pitched at accountants who, with training, want to establish a 'true' public practice. This means providing extensive services to Individuals, Sole Traders, Partnerships, Companies, Trusts and Self Managed Super Fund clients. Services include:

• Taxation Returns and compliance,
• Proactive Tax Planning,
• Asset Protection,
• Business Advisory Services,
• BAS and Instalment Activity Statements,
• Accounting (including financial statements),

Our franchise is not for accountants purely seeking to replace a wage. Instead, the goal is with support and training to run a highly profitable practice with sound infrastructure.

Our practices avoid price-sensitive customers. This market segment is unstable and subject to decline in numbers. We use a minimum fees document for charging clients and we focus on developing loyal and stable client bases that generate new business through referrals and who seek value-added services.

PROFESSIONAL BODY MENTORING:

Registered tax agents within our network may optionally hold Public Practice Certificates with professional bodies - like CPA and IPA or be CAs. We can provide mentoring opportunities.

Skills

GENERAL: Motivation and willingness to learn! Good communication skills. Organised. Able to respond to communication quickly.

FOR NON-TAX AGENTS: An accounting diploma or degree (either completed or in progress and willing to complete within 3 years of joining us). Minimum of 6 months of accounting experience (public or private sector) or capable in basic bookkeeping. Tax experience not essential.

FOR TAX AGENTS: Active registration with the Tax Practitioners Board as a tax agent.

Length of Agreement

Our Franchises are designed for applicants who see themselves running a full-time practice within 2 years, working towards tax agent status (if not a tax agent), and having a non-seasonal workload.

Success Tax Professionals Franchises are for a period of 20 years and renewable at no cost. Franchisees can leave earlier and comply with our exit terms.

History

The Success Tax Professionals Franchise arose from recognition that there are accountants with a strong aptitude for public practice, but who may have never had exposure to practice life. Another reason was to provide best practices and centralised support for accountants who may already be in practice, but open to improving their results and work patterns for higher profitability.

Awards

Franchisees in the Success Tax Professionals group participate in our Award and Recognition programme, and can work towards becoming members of our annually assessed Top 10 Advertising Committee. Members are rewarded with a generous advertising allowance.
