We are looking for a franchise recruit residing south of the river in Perth
About the Opportunity
After more than 30 years of running a Chem Dry franchise, the owner is ready to retire and wants the right person to look after his loyal customer base.
Sale Price
The sale price is $39,950 which includes the franchise licence and the carpet, upholstery and leather cleaning equipment.
All equipment is in good working condition.
Optional Van
Price $25,000
Fully fitted out 2014 Toyota Hiace van 205k km.
Background
Current services provided are carpet, upholstery and leather cleaning and protection. As well, there is an ability under the franchise agreement to provide other services including tile and grout cleaning, water damage remediation and wooden floor restoration.
The franchise covers the South West and South East Metropolitan area of Greater Perth. ( South of the river)
Jobs can be accepted outside the franchise area if they are referred by existing customers.
The monthly franchise fee is fixed irrespective of turnover and is CPI adjusted annually.
Training
The current owner will provide full on job training and back up support.
The master franchise will also provide training, coaching and on going support.
Other
• Existing website will be transferred to the new owner.
• Introduction will be provided to fellow franchisees and all stakeholders including facilitating eftpos payment set up and access to franchisees Facebook page.

Advertising/ Marketing
Little advertising has been done over recent years due to the owner’s longevity in business.
There is significant scope to substantially increase turnover by advertising for new customers.

Chem Dry is the largest carpet cleaning company in the world with over 3500 franchises including 150 in Australia where it has been operating since 1986.
The vast majority of products are exclusive and are manufactured in its USA facility where full time chemists are employed to keep it ahead of the competition.
The Australian Master Franchise is based in Castle Hill , just outside Sydney and all support, including provision of cleaning products and equipment is provided from this location.
Marketing support
This franchise has not had to advertise for many years as the owner has loyal customers. However if the new buyer wants to expand we will provide marketing support.
Training provided
The owner will provide training but we also have a full time trainer at head office who will also train. Chem-Dry head office gives full techinical advice and business coaching. This is all included in the franchise.
Skills
The only skills you require is the willingness to learn and provide great customer service.

History
The Chem-Dry story started in the early 1970s with Robert Harris, a young man from California who worked for a carpet cleaning company while he attended law school.
Harris wasn’t impressed with the cleaning products his company and its competitors were using.
While on a flight back home during a break in classes, some salad dressing landed on his silk tie. A flight attendant removed the stain with a surprising “cleaner”: club soda.
If carbonated water could work on a tie, he thought, why not on carpet?
