About the Business
Kindy Dance Time is a dance programme which provides a unique dance syllabus expertly created just for toddlers and preschoolers, aged 2-5. We do not enforce or instruct a specific technique, but rather lay the grounding foundations of dance. Our aim is to encourage and broaden their love of dance by exposing them to a wide range of music. We limit class numbers to ensure the children are not overwhelmed and can receive quality tuition from the teacher throughout the class. The children are enchanted with 3 different lesson themes per term, so they enjoy the familiarity of routine coupled with new challenges. This results in a fantastic sense of achievement and loads of FUN! Kindy Dance Time dance classes are fast-paced to keep toddlers and preschoolers engaged and include the introduction to a wide range of dance and music styles, relating to the specific theme. Musical instruments, props, song, and free dance are incorporated into Kindy Dance Time, and also more structured dances which stimulate the development of coordination and motor skills. Classes are divided into different age groups for toddlers and preschoolers from 2 – 5 years of age, so that the key areas of development for each age group can be focused on. The Kindy Dance Time programme has enchanting, age-related themes which engage children and capture their imaginations. Our themes are non-gender specific and encourage boys to join in the fun too! Children experience dancing in groups, in partners and on their own which adds great value to their social and emotional development. Lessons include educational components, such as shapes, numbers or colours for younger children, and cultural awareness, anatomy or the environment for the older age groups. In the younger age groups – Kindy A classes – parent participation is vital. This allows parents to spend unique time with their little ones as they learn and blossom and also gives them the best chance to gain the most out of our programme. As the students grow older and progress into Kindy B classes, they start to interact directly with their teacher and parents will be able to sit back and enjoy watching their child progress. Parents are ALWAYS welcome in our studios. Classes run in the mornings during school terms, so this business fits in perfectly with families. Administrative work can be scheduled in the afternoon, and when the kids come home from school, you can focus on them and not have to worry about work. Extensive support is provided from Head Office in Perth, and you are supported every step of the way.
Operations began in 2001. Lara Gandini was involved in growing the business and became Director in 2004. There are now over 40 locations throughout WA and Victoria. In 2014 Kindy Dance Time began franchising. The territory currently up for sale was purchased in 2015, with already established classes in Lower Templestowe and Balwyn. Classes began in Doncaster and Doncaster East in 2016.
